Description
This title-screen scene is a variation of Dan Malone's cover design for a game called: The Sacred Armour of Antiriad, published in 1986 by Palace Software.
This is an oldie I drew this back in 1986 or 1987, on a Commodore 64 in Koala Painter.
The display I used at the time was a black-and-white 12 inch TV, so all drawing had to be done by visualizing the scene and using colors from a predefined 16-color table that I had memorized so as to remember which color was which. The Commodore 64 also had a few other restrictions to consider:
- In addition to the background color you could only have three colors within one "char" of 8x8 pixels.
- The available screen estate to draw on was 320x200 with a double pixel width, so the actual available resolution would be 160x200.
- There would be a relativly thick mono-colored border around the image. By programming the CRT-raster directly, one might use this area to draw additional lines of color.

I never played the game growing up, but when I discovered it in the last couple years, I was impressed. Great job on the pixel art here.
